Horsepower

Horsepower is the artist project of Brooklyn-based musician Charlotte Weinman, who caught New York’s attention in 2024 with a collection of songs combining the fervent energy of indie rock with the thespian flair of a self-described “recovering playwright.” Horsepower made waves in their native Brooklyn for selling out multiple local shows before releasing any music. When the band released their debut EP in June 2025, their cultlike following quietly went national. They’ve since received praise from Paste, Rolling Stone, NME, and more, a spot in Spotify’s Fresh Finds Class of 2025, and support slots with Daffo, Hinds, and Liz Cooper, among others. Horsepower’s second EP Happiest Day of My Life is due out November 20, 2026.
